Handling:
Clean the puncture site with warm water and soap and dry thoroughly. Warm water stimulates blood flow and makes it easier to obtain a blood sample.
Let the arm hang down at your side for 10 to 15 seconds and massage from the wrist towards the ball of the thumb and fingers. This also stimulates blood flow.
Unscrew the adjustable cap from the lancing device and insert the lancet by pushing it down firmly until it stops.
Unscrew the protective cap from the lancet. Screw the adjustable cap back onto the lancing device in a clockwise direction.
Adjust the piercing depth on the adjustable cap (1 is the shallowest, 10 is the deepest).
Hold the lancing device with one hand and pull back the rear cap with the other hand until you hear a click and the lancing device is cocked.
The release button is now red, so you can see at any time whether the lancing device is ready to draw blood.
If the release button is not red, pull the rear cap backwards again until the release button turns red.
Press the lancing device against the side of your fingertip and press the release button to lancing.
